Alejandro (Alex) G. Casas is the son of immigrants who fled Cuba to start a new and promising life in the United States. As a first generation American, he grew up in Palm Beach County and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University. In 1991, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law. During his law studies, he was a member of the Law Review and served as an Associate Editor. Casas, who speaks Spanish fluently, was also the President of the Spanish American Law Students Association.
